Testimonials

What our clients are saying...
“We’re delighted to have AMA as our UK consumer PR agency. They have successfully launched our brand to the UK market, raising the profile of VI Hotels. AMA has secured great coverage from some of the UK and Ireland’s biggest media and have quickly become part of our team, also managing UK press trip recruitment. They have an excellent knowledge of digital marketing methods and an excellent team of writers, who regularly write blogs for us and manage diverse social media campaigns."
Sabine Hackl, VI International Hotels & Resorts

“AMA played an important role in helping us organise a Slovenia Tourism media brunch at this year's World Travel Market. Their contact network proved invaluable and was exemplified by the quality of the guests – including editors and celebrities. The event proved to be much more creative, successful and less expensive than any WTM press conferences in previous years.”
Tine Murn, Head of Slovenian Tourism, UK

“...I can safely say we'd never be in the position we're in now if it wasn't for AMA. In no time at all they'd secured coverage in the Financial Times Weekend magazine, Metro, Guardian, Independent and numerous television spots. Our workshops are now fully booked until May and a huge 90% of our bookings can be traced back to PR.”
Ian McMillan, Bamboo Bicycle Club

"AMA has successfully organised several co-promotions with national and international brands. Most spectacularly they arranged, at short notice, a week-long promotion in London that attracted a huge amount of interest for our cottages and we are still seeing bookings nearly two years later.
Since teaming up with AMA, bookings have increased by 10% and our database has grown by over 3,000. We have seen coverage in all national newspapers and many magazines, websites and also coverage in Holland and Belgium as a result of their efforts."
Elizabeth Daniel, Director, Brecon Beacons Holiday Cottages

"We relied heavily on the excellent services of Frank and Alexandra Marr to help us promote our recent b-bug trial for visitors to the Brecon Beacons National Park. They were always enthusiastic and through their excellent network of contacts, they attracted top travel journalists to come and try the b-bugs and write about them. Largely as a result of the Marrs’ efforts, the b-bug project was featured on the BBC Wales website, in The Guardian, The Independent, The Daily Mirror, The Western Mail, London Metro and on the Yahoo travel site. The latter delivered nearly 1,000 hits on the b-bug website in a single day."
Dr Alison Kidd, The Prospectory

“Alexandra and her wonderful team have significantly improved our overall PR and marketing mix. Not only do they work hard for you, they clearly understand our business rationale and drivers, and are a pleasure to work with. After only a short period of time,  they are an important part of our team here at the Grove despite being based in the capital.”
Neil Kedward, The Grove, Narberth and Coast Saundersfoot

“…AMA has done an excellent job raising the profile of the Brecon Beacons over the last 12 months – their energy and commitment have seen them at trade shows, hosting journalists, fielding press requests, proactively sending out weekly offers and working the world of social media on our behalf. We have been delighted with the results."
Punch Maughan, Brecon Beacons Marketing Coordination Group

"AMA are really on the ball. They are always scoping out new opportunities for us and have demonstrated a real knack for crafting the type of story that resonates with the best travel journalists. Our tours have appeared in a number of high profile media titles, making PR an important part of our sales strategy."
Iona Carter, The Carter Company

"Tom and the team have been instrumental in helping change perceptions of the destination, and of securing coverage in leading titles including the Independent, Times, Metro and Elle magazine. On top of that, they’ve developed excellent relationships with tourism businesses, headed up numerous campaigns and created a hugely successful destination microsite for a national online newspaper."
Ieuan Sherwood, Bridgend County Borough Council

“Alex did a great job for Wales in the USA. Full of ideas and enthusiasm she built a strong network and was well regarded by colleagues and customers alike. I am sure that her new venture will be a great success.”
Roger Pride, Director of Marketing, Welsh Assembly Government

“Alexandra was such a large help for Ultimate Golf Vacations to become involved with golf and tourism to Wales. We knew the challenges that lay ahead when we first started, opening up a new destination and one that had been 'low profile' in the North America golf market, especially when compared to its European neighbours. By Summer 2009 we were moving forward with contacts and leads in all areas of tourism to help us develop an extensive program, with so much help and communication from Alexandra in her role with Visit Wales. From opening doors to building business relationships to ensuring the right decision-makers got our details, requests and follow up, she was the right key contact to make this happen for us and for the local tourism community. Never an easy task, but always dependable on getting the answers. We are very appreciative for her hard work.”
Rob Warrington, Product and Marketing Manager, Ultimate Golf Vacations

"AMA has been a great pleasure to work with and has generated significant publicity for Spencer Ivy Electric Bicycles. With articles in The Observer, the Sunday Times and Vanity Fair, to meeting HRH The Prince of Wales at Clarence House for a bike test ride, AMA feels like an extension of the team. They provide innovate ways of promoting the company which are able to keep journalists engaged and willing to write features on our products. We have enrolled in every aspect of their service from press relations to event promotions and really could not be more pleased with the results. We look forward to seeing what the future brings!"
Va Hua, Managing Director, Spencer Ivy Electric Bicycles

What journalists are saying...
"As a veritable veteran of food press trips, I can honestly say Frank was a breath of fresh air. He brought knowledge, enthusiasm and humour to a schedule that was carefully choreographed and planned with forensic precision."
Mark Taylor, founder and chief editor of Fork Magazine

“A rare phenomenon: a PR agency that understands exactly what we want and gives us what we need with style and purpose.”
Frank Barrett, travel editor and author, The Mail on Sunday

“I have nothing but praise for AMA. Frank, Alexandra and their team are evidently a great rarity; PROPER, genuine PR people, working according to their own loves and enthusiasms, rather than simply being slaves to the dollar... something of a miracle these days. Their passion for the beautiful landscapes of Wales, their enthusiasm for its enterprising small businesses which are themselves born of a great deal of love, are truly inspirational and I am deeply grateful to them for everything they are doing, not only for me, but for everyone who loves this country and its people.
Wales is full of success stories, some small, some large, all born of enterprise and passion, and we have needed a PR company like this for quite some time.”
Adele Nozedar, writer

“My visit to the Slovenia stand at World Travel Market was engaging and informative, providing an all-too-brief immersion in the country’s culinary delights, and the opportunity to meet individuals from the world of Slovenian travel... I would not hesitate to return next year if asked.”
Christopher King, The Sun

“Frank organised a press-trip to Wales for us. He did very well! And beside that he's nice company to spend some time with. Also a great ambassador for his lovely country.”
Jeroen Hendriks, chief final editing, De Telegraaf, The Netherlands

"I was particularly charmed by the choice of friendly small hotels that we stayed in and the ease with which we could change the itinerary at the last minute to adjust to changing weather conditions. The result were great pictures and a very warm souvenir of our stay in Brecon Beacons.”
Diana Van Gompel, journalist, Belgium

“An excellent PR company that thinks outside the box - they set up the trip we needed, but also packed it full of activities that hadn't even occurred to us.”
Nick Dalton, travel writer and journalist

“Many of us US-based travel journalists knew Alex well and admired her a great deal. She's one of those rare people who seem genuine and completely sincere while representing a client--which means everything to those of us whose living depends on sorting 'fact from fiction.' A regular contributor to the travel section of The Boston Globe, among others, I was fortunate to take part in a media trip that she was in charge of while she was marketing manager at VisitBritain. It was one of the best such experiences I've ever had, thanks to Alex's non-stop efforts to provide an unstilted, full-fledged, and super-friendly look at the part of England we were covering. I can't recommend her enough.”
Peter Mandel, Travel journalist, USA
